Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas is from the songwriting team of Martin & Blane, and was debuted by Judy Garland in Meet Me In St. Louis in 1944. It was originally a bit gloomy, but was repeatedly adjusted to make happier lyrics, and as a result has become one of the most common Christmas standards. Alan's accordion with sparse accompaniment brings back a little bit of that original chanson tristesse.
